I raced in the SVRA Portland Historics at PIR (my home track ) last weekend. With new motor, tuned spot on and new Hoosier Speedster 205 X15" vintage racing radials, I lowered my personal best lap time on the 1.95 mile road course by 3 seconds in the misty wet morning session. I had work through a mechanical problem on Friday's qualifying and had to start dead last at 27th and finished 9th when the checkered dropped. I pitted next to fellow big Healey racer Rich Thomas and his '56 100-4 LeMans. We had a yellow flag for 2 cars "off" track, so I couldn't legally pass my pal Steve Smith in Gilbert, the # 66 road racing bug, forzamotorsport.net/en-us/news/hma_10_5_17 but I got him down the back straight. upload photo url free

It looks like you have hit the sweet spot with your new motor build, that is quite some improvement in PB.

Yes, the big lump has broken-in quite nice. A couple little tweeks still needed, but this outing really was an eye opening experience as the motor was quite impressive. Here's the last few laps of the race.

Excellent footage as always, Dougie. Engine and exhaust note sound good.
