Over and above the advertising posters created by Austin / BMC back in the day, I am sure that Healeys have graced many an advertising poster, especially for events such as rallying. I have just come across another, in this months Octane, advertising the 2018 Three Castles Trial.....  ... any more..... |

I have a (framed) poster on my wall that was produced to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Healey 3000, but its too big to go in the copier !

I have a limited edition 'Healeys Return to Bonneville' Poster signed by all the luminaries but I am advised that it is too valuable to take out of the tube  |

I purchased a car from a lovely couple in Redditch about 10 years ago. The gent was a retired motor engineer. In his study were Healey posters on every wall. His wife was a secretary at Austin Healey back in the day and quite a looker then. She was the girl in many of the shots! Apparently, Donald liked to include his staff in the promotional posters of the time. Some of the posters were signed.
I recall seeing a print at the NEC Classic Car Show on the Healey stand some years later. I asked the people there would they be surprised to know that this lady in your print is alive and well and living just up the road in Redditch, they politely thought I was kidding........I wasn't. |
