I love the looks of DP 1769, Cape did a great job on it.

Cape did some work on my car and I also agree they do a good job.

from a different angle .....
Looks good, although that copper water pipe does stick out a bit, personally I would have done it in stainless. Off on another tangent, and linking to another thread on here re Filter Kings, it is interesting to see where the unit has been placed on this car, just in front of the LH footwell, with a protective / heat barrier between it and the Rear most carb. It limits access a little, but I guess it might be a bit cooler down there by the wing vent?

That seems a funny placement position. I have my pressure regulator/gauge in the front left area, still out of the heat. Fuel filters in the rear, placed after the fuel pump.

Webers had crossed my mind as well but as you say if you wanted the best out of the engine you would end up with not a very practical road car. I have gone for the DWR8 cam with valve pockets, balanced crank line and lightened flywheel, for the period look correct RHD Ruddspeed manifolds with triple carb setup, DWR tubular exhaust. Once I have recovered financially I am hoping for a DWR fast road alloy head You mean something like this..... Dougie, Who's hose clamps are you using?
