Is any-one using a full protective cover (over front shroud) with engine bay exposed to protect the paintwork whilst working in the engine bay?
If so, who is the supplier and is it any good!!
I have a wing protector, which I use with the MGA, but it is a bit small and you have to keep moving it around.

Got this custom shroud cover a few years back, I think a local club member was making them. I'll look up the info on it. Works well, I always bring it to the track when we're racing.

Looks the sort of thing I am after. Is it a rubbery material, or fabric based?

After fighting with blankets falling off, I decided I really must do something about this. The commercially available ones are all a bit pricey, so was looking around to see what I could use. It is a bit "left field" but looking at a table protector we had on the dining table, it looked ideal. It is a 4mm mat (felt topped by a vinyl / leatherette covering). It is readily available in a choice of colours, inexpensive and easily obtainable. I bought a bit 140cm wide and 2.5m long, cut out a hole for the bonnet and ...... it works great.
