As I understand it, the fixing of the rear wings happens in roughly three places, 1. Along the top flange to the rear shroud. 2. At the bottom to the sill. 3. At the door edge where it laps the "B" pillar / door lock face. Now with this last point, the parts book I have (see below) lists the fixing is by (part 57, CMZ0308) 16 (8 each side) countersunk pozi screws No. 10 (3/16ths) x 1/2" However when I look at my wings (original) and the "B" panel, there are only three larger (3/16ths) holes at each side, the remainder are the smaller holes for the self tapping screws used to keep the aluminium shut face trim panel in-place. Am I missing something?

Isn't that just a bigger version of the air flap on the hard top!

Anybody with any thoughts on the hardware used to secure the rear wing to the "B" pillar / door lock face?

Hi, all the big Healeys I have worked on had 8 screws either side down the B post as per the parts book.
Dave.

The problem I have, is that on the b pillar and original rear wings, there are the series of holes for the self tappers which hold on the outer Aluminium trim panel (the on with the lock catch attached), but only 3 holes large enough for a screw of the size shown in the parts book, hence my confusion.
