Hello all, I am trying to complete my 2.4 liter engine which has had no valve seals. I am wandering if it would be a good idea to install valve seals. Maybe at least on the intake valves. Any opinions? Gratefully Ivan

Hi Ivan,
AH Spares sell these with the following descritions
PART NO: ENG735C PRODUCT NAME: OIL SEAL-valve stem-modified DESCRIPTION: These valve oil seals are far superior to the original design to prevent oil leaking into the cylinders. With a metal body they are a press fit on to the valve guide so they will not come loose compared to other cheap alternatives.
A must for performance or standard engines that are fitted with single or double valve springs.

Thanks frankenhealey,I should have been more clear as to which engine. The engine is 2.5 liter ( not 2.4 as I stated in the original post) belonging to a 1948 Healey Duncan. My concern really is will there be enough lubrication to the valves with the seals being introduced? Ivan

Ivan Hi Ivan, We have a member on here woodworm who IIRC is 'real' Healey guy, not the fake Austin Healeys that most have . I suggest you PM him on here.
