That looks like an interesting distraction. Is it actually in your garage or still sheltering under the trees?

i had to take the roof off to get it through ! i have an unusual setup, with a single garage beside the house which has doors at the back leading to another driveway and my double garage/ workshop at the back.

There are probably loads of Landy restorations on u-tube, but Kiwi Geoffrey Crocker is quite amusing :

Can't believe I was dumb enough to do this ! Also resorted to this for reference it's in the centre of the bonnet To make up for it, I made a start on making my wiring loom. This is the rear loom. I didn't see any point in buying a readymade one, as it just wouldn't fit. I found a company that supplies cable with all the correct colours by the metre Theres now a Facebook page for Jamaicans, and the guy who designed several Fiberfab is on there

That would make a great bit of garage art, if it was copied onto a new digital image (without the folds etc.)

Keeping busy ! Throttle linkage made, and I'm proud to say I managed to incorporate a bit of Meccano in there Alternator mounted, using a gearbox steady the second part it a piece of steel with holes at 90 degrees to each other. This fastens to the adjuster hole on the alternator and the rod passes through with nuts top and bottom. Positive fan belt adjustment Ive trial fitted my first Mazda MX5 headlight. So far so good, but wiring will take some brain effort and up my main wiring loom is almost finished, but I won't bind it all up until I've got my headlight control sorted, plus other bits and bobs

I have been keeping busy over the past month or so, at least until it got too cold in the garage. An opening bonnet has been created, I made my own hinges in aluminium, copying a 3000 one I had lying around Also started to rehang my doors, and have successfully modified an electric window mechanism to do my windows ( quite smug ! ) anyway, seasons greetings and best wishes for 2021 neil

What's the plan for the bonnet hole, where the oil filler cap comes through?

What's the plan for the bonnet hole, where the oil filler cap comes through? It comes up where the bonnet bulge is ( mostly) .I'll either extend the bulge, or more likely, make it a cold air scoop. As I'll seal around the radiator, I think the air going to the carbs will be rather warm. It's either that or arrange a cold air supply some other way im really really enjoying this build. I can do anything I fancy ( within reason) i do have a sort of vision of what I'm trying to achieve though ! Oh and it's now registered with DVLA, complete with 12 months free road tax !

Haven't updated for a while. When it got too cold here I started on my seats. I'd bought fibreglass bucket seats which looked about right the original cover was really done, so it was stripped off. The original plan was to have these removed professionally in exchange for loads of cash. Then SWMBO decided we needed a new lounge suite. The old one was a rather nice green leather. A plan was formed ! 6 weeks of hand stitching has got one done. It just a bit of plumping up of the stuffing to finish. When it wasn't too cold I've been working on my doors. Electric window lift motors from a Citroen Berlingo, outer door handles from a Fiat coupe, and interior handles from an Audi TT so far so good, and finally for now, revisited my alloy rocker cover. I removed the filler cap and lowered it as much as possible which should enable me to fix the hole in the bonnet I'd made

Just read the 2nd instalment in Revcounter, which in a way cover the progress above, but with fewer pictures. How are things going?
