Clip from Bill Rawles Classic Cars Fb page showing their Race built Big Healey going through its paces on the rolling road in advance of a meeting this weekend. It does sound as though it means business, and the "fireworks" ain't half bad either! ..... www.facebook.com/billrawlesclassiccars/videos/1951661754846630/

Well it obviously did the trick, in the Equipe pre-63 race at Silverstone today, it came third overall and 1st in class.

It's great to see younger drivers taking the wheel of a big Healey. My race motors still apart waiting on custom rods& pistons, the new billet crank arrived looking very nice. I'm still a month out before I'll be back on the dyno....hopefully. Attachments:

That crank is almost too good looking to go in an engine and get all oiled up! Great bit of kit and well finished

Bit of background to the Rawles race car, feature on Bill Rawles. With 290bhp, no wonder it sounds like it does .....

Back to the next round of the Equip Pre 63 series. Jack Rawls is doing not too badly, qualified 6th or 7th and won his race and fastest lap - in what was a bit of a challenging surface as the track had a bit of oil around from a previous race ....

Finaly have all my parts made and ready to put together. Most of the internals are custom "one-off"" American made, using Chevy racing valves, springs and bearings. Sticking with triple 2" SU's as this is "legal" for my vintage racing group. Attachments:

Those pistons are a real work of art. Almost far too nice to put in an engine where you won't see them !!
