Hi Trying to get help with the spec of my healey i am building. I have a 1957 100/6 healey that i am in the process of making it a 1959 3000 works replica. The first year of the 3000 engine. I plan to do historic road and endurance rallying but need help into how far i go on the conversion. I was under the impression that the categories were pre 1960 so thats why i want to keep the modifications to what the healey works dept did to pre 1960 but looking at the hrcr cats they have cat 1 as pre 1968. I have also been told that the European classic rallies have a cut point of 1961. There is also an Equipe pre 63 series in the uk. If this is the case i could go the whole way that the healey works dept did to there cars up until 1967, or keep the modifications to pre 1961. Could anyone help or point me in the direction of help. I dont want to do my car then turn up at an event and found my car could have been in a different cat. Or i could have gone a whole further with the spec to be more competitive. For info i only plan all my modifications to be what the healey works dept have carried out on their healeys. Thanks

Just to check, are you looking at rallying or racing, I ask as the Equip pre 63 is a race series. If 'only' historic road and endurance rallying, there is a bit around the web on the build of the "works" cars. Also one of the "regulars" on here frequently does the "Monty" and I am sure will have quite a bit of info re relevant classifications.

Wish I could help, but the regulations are all over the board depending on which vintage race club/group your associated with here in the USA. This site might be helpful,http://healeysport.org/about.html
