My flight is scheduled and I just book my lodgings for the Spa 6-hour race September, www.spasixhours.com/index.php/map-of-the-paddocks/?lang=en#Attending to spectate and do a little scouting this year on big Healey car prep. Does anyone else usually make it to this event? I'll be in Amsterdam for a week, Healey and Van Gogh Muesum's are a must.... Looking forward to seeing some of this.....

I just returned to the US after an amazing trip to the Spa Six Hour race weekend. What a spectacular track and the wide range of historic cars competiting was wonderful. The multiple grids and races beyond just the six hour event made for a very enjoyable time for the whole family (wife & daughter). I was there to cheer on Nils-Fredrick Nyblaeus and Jeremy Welch and all the onther Big Healeys competiting, but once I came across my favorite Aston in the paddick, it was hard not to pull for them in the six hour race. They didn't need my help though, DP 214 took 2nd overall and 1st in class (with 20 GT40's running). They ran this race hard and fast the whole six hours and it was a pleasure to see such a valuable car pushed to the limit on a grueling wet track and never miss a beat.

Those front brake rotors look like they are 'glowing' in the middle picture.

Those front brake rotors look like they are 'glowing' in the middle picture. Oh....they are glowing! Even with the cool weather temperatures, you could tell the drivers pushing to the limit, all their rotors were glowing.
