I have recently bought a 1958 BN4 100/6 which has the earlier I think it's called a longbridge hood with the odd hook and slider system where when put up these bits of bent rod on the bottom of the hood frame clip into a rubber holder similar to those for the bonnet/boot stays. I have the frame and I have a bow and aluminium strip to secure to the windscreen but no idea how to put all the parts together. Does the hood material go over and under the wooden bow held in place by the aluminium strip, or does it stop short of going under the bow and finish stapled to the front of the bow then covered with some Hidem binding. Then there is the roll of webbing. I can see that there has been webbing on two of the steel frame hood tubes, is that is or does it also come to the front of the car and onto the bow as well? Any help and advice would be much appreciated. Thank you Simon
