Folks, currently fitting the shroud / door seals, which fit either end of the dash pad. On the shroud, where the dash pad is fixed with the once screw by the windscreen and then two through the turnbutton fixture, I appear to have two additional (smaller holes) - see below. These appear on both sides in the same relative space, just to the outside of the others. Any thought on what these might have been for?

I'm struggling to quite get the area you're talking about ( sorry) Another pic from further away maybe ? Neil PS it's good to know someone is working still. I haven't been to my garage for a month cos it's so cold !

One from during the early bodywork stages - look at the shroud where it meets the top of the door

Maybe someone previously put self tappers in to help hold the dashpad down ?

Just a further thought. The alloy shroud isn't pop riveted to the top of the bulkhead there, is it ?

The rivets are on the front flange and lower vertical section - you can just see the heads of two of them in the first picture.
Just that I don't have the original dash pad as can't see any evidence from that, which would have been helpful.
